Paris Fashion Week is not lacking in excitement, but (as always) designers have spiced up their shows by launching new models.
Spring / Summer 2022 has already introduced the world to figures such as Divine Nwaokogba from Prada and Naomi Ekindi from Dior, but this Coperni morning, designers Arnaud Vaillant and Sébastien Meyer have joined the list of rising stars to watch.
The show marked the catwalk debut of Eve Jobs, the 23-year-old daughter of Apple founder Steve. Already causing a sensation in the ad, she appeared last year in beauty giant Glossier’s Christmas campaign – Jobs stammered alongside regulars like Mica Argañaraz, Adut Akech and Gigi Hadid.
Coperni’s casting directors Piergiorgio del Moro and Samuel Ellis Scheinman know how to organize a dynamic cast. They’re the team behind the Versace x Fendi “Fendace” show in Milan, filled with models and the cool boyish line from Saint Laurent, after all. But Jobs added a layer to the Coperni collection itself.
As Vaillant and Meyer told Vogue’s Luke Leitch backstage, accessories for the season included a bag, dubbed Origami, inspired by the curved shape of the iPhone photo app icon. Rightly so, the audience at the Paris Event Center threw up all their smartphones to watch Jobs take his first walk.
